Meet Richard Scott

Owner of League Dumpster Rental

Richard Scott did not spend his whole career planning to work in dumpster rental. Before starting League Dumpster Rental, he spent nearly 20 years working in auto manufacturing, including time as a second-shift manager. The work provided a career, but the schedule also meant missing family time, sports activities, and plenty of moments at home.

Eventually, Richard knew he wanted to build something different. Dumpster rental was the opportunity he decided to take a chance on, and League Dumpster Rental opened in July 2021.

What started as a new direction soon became work he enjoyed for a different reason: meeting people, answering their questions, and helping them get a project moving without making dumpster rental feel more complicated than it needs to be.

Experience Built Around Real Cleanup Projects

Running a dumpster rental company means dealing with much more than dropping off an empty container and picking it up later. Richard works directly with the questions that come up before a dumpster ever reaches a property.

Someone cleaning out a garage may have no idea what size container makes sense. A homeowner remodeling a room may not realize how quickly dense debris adds weight. Another person may have an old appliance, concrete, brick, or a mix of materials and need to know what to do before loading everything together.

Those conversations have given Richard hands-on experience with:

  • Choosing the right dumpster size for a project
  • Estimating debris volume and weight
  • Answering questions about appliances and bulky items
  • Concrete and brick disposal considerations
  • Delivery location, access, and possible added charges

He often helps people picture dumpster capacity by comparing it with pickup truck loads. He also explains why bulky household items and dense materials behave differently once they are loaded, which can affect both space and weight.

Helping Local Projects Move Forward

League Dumpster Rental helps homeowners, contractors, landlords, property owners, and businesses get debris out of the way during cleanouts, remodels, construction work, and property projects. Lancaster is home base, and dumpster rentals are also available in communities such as:

  • Logan
  • Canal Winchester
  • Pickerington
  • Circleville
  • Baltimore

Richard is still the person behind many of the calls and texts that come in. Some people already know exactly what size dumpster they need. Others are standing in a garage or looking at a renovation pile trying to figure out where to begin. He talks through the project, asks what is being thrown away, and helps sort out details like size, weight, and materials that may need extra attention.

That personal side of the work is a big reason Richard enjoys the business. He gets to meet new people, help them get a project moving, and sometimes make friends with the dogs waiting at the delivery site too.

The blogs cover those everyday questions with practical information about dumpster sizes, debris, weight, materials, rental costs, and project planning, all in a way that is easy to understand.
